Techstars for Social Impact Snags Spotlight
01/29/2021
Two Atlanta-based startup technology companies in the 2021 Techstars for Social Impact Accelerator were featured in the Atlanta Business Chronicle for confronting the thorny issues of civic engagement and criminal justice with innovative solutions.
Techstars for Social Impact is a three-month program that provides virtual mentoring, funding and global connections to 10 for-profit, mission-driven companies. Strategic mentorships with Cox business leaders and experts help bring the entrepreneurs' ideas to market, boost their early-stage businesses and grow their networks. This year's class kicked off Jan. 25 and the entrepreneurs will pitch their company's ideas to potential investors at a Demo Day presentation April 29.

Cox launched the program last year as an off-shoot of the work our company was already doing with the startup incubator, Techstars Atlanta.
“We have a platform and opportunity to shine a light on both the problems and potential solutions to social injustice,” said Maury Wolfe, Cox Enterprise assistant vice president of corporate responsibility and public affairs (pictured at right). “At Cox, one of the things that’s core to us is the idea that profitable businesses can solve really big problems.”
