Cox Enterprises Promotes Laura Wiese to Senior Director of Corporate Accounting

Cox Enterprises today announced that Laura Wiese has been promoted to senior director of corporate accounting, effective immediately. She will continue reporting to Jack Polish, vice president and controller.
“Laura is an outstanding performer, and I know she will thrive in this new role,” said Polish. “As a $15 billion company, Cox’s corporate accounting is a vital function. Laura does a great job identifying the financial platforms that meet our current needs while best preparing us for future growth.”
In this role, Wiese oversees corporate budgeting, accounting and accounts payable. She also manages strategies and policies regarding Cox’s corporate financial systems, including Blackline, Hyperion and Oracle.
She joined Cox in 2000 as a supervisor in corporate accounting and most recently served as director of corporate accounting. Prior to Cox she held a variety of accounting roles at Alignis, Cigna, Healthcare Management Associates, PwC and Vanstar.
Wiese earned a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting from Bucknell University.
