Scott McLane and Alan Hicks promoted to new roles

Cox Enterprises today announced that Scott McLane and Alan Hicks are being promoted to senior director of corporate services and director of corporate services, effective immediately. Duane Ritter, senior vice president of corporate services and enterprise security, oversees the building services department.

“Over the last few years, Cox’s corporate campus has expanded drastically as a result of our growth and desire to create collaboration among our employees,” said Ritter. “Scott and Alan have repeatedly exceeded expectations and deliver outstanding service to ensure our facilities are a productive and sustainable working environment.”

McLane oversees three building services teams, which are comprised of 40 individuals. They are responsible for all aspects of Cox’s headquarters campus, including design, construction, space planning, daily operations and maintenance, as well as the facilities’ food service and fitness center operations.

He has held a number of roles within Cox’s building services and real estate teams. Prior to joining the company, he worked on Cox’s campus expansion as a senior project manager with CBRE Atlanta’s Project Management Group. He also held positions with the Sembler Company, Holder Construction Group and Edward D. Stone Jr. & Associates where he worked on a variety of mixed-use, retail, housing and corporate development projects.

McLane received a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture and a master’s degree in building construction from the University of Florida.

Hicks is responsible for the building services management of Cox Enterprises’ corporate facility and the building housing Manheim’s technology department. He also has oversight of corporate food service and fitness center operations. He oversees a team of 20.

He has been with Cox for nearly 30 years and has held a number of roles, including mailroom supervisor and supervisor of corporate services and administration. Hicks volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and is a board member for the Cox Employee Relief Fund.
