Committed to Clean Water

03/22/2018

Pollution often threatens places where we swim, fish and paddle. At Cox, we’re joining forces to protect these resources and ensure our rivers and oceans are available for the next generation to use and enjoy.

In recognition of World Water Day on March 21, here is a look at the water cleanup events that Team Cox participated in last year — removing a total of 34 tons of trash!

  • New Orleans, Louisiana — Ocean Conservancy. 50 volunteers, 384 pounds of trash.
  • Orange County, California — Ocean Conservancy. 240 volunteers, 500 pounds of trash.
  • Seattle, Washington — Ocean Conservancy. 30 volunteers, 200 pounds of trash.
  • New York, New York — Ocean Conservancy. 65 volunteers, 98 pounds of trash.
  • Orlando, Florida — American Rivers. 102 volunteers, 65 pounds of trash.
  • Austin, Texas  — American Rivers. 150 volunteers, 2,575 pounds of trash.
  • Tulsa, Oklahoma  — American Rivers. 160 volunteers, 5,000 pounds of trash.
  • Atlanta, Georgia — Chattahoochee Riverkeeper. 100 volunteers, 4,500 pounds of trash.
