Jack Polish is vice president and controller for Cox Enterprises, a leading communications, media and automotive services company.
He is responsible for developing and administering enterprise-wide accounting policies for the company. He also oversees financial reporting/technical accounting, corporate accounting, incentive plan accruals, retirement plan support, corporate budget guideline development and the technology associated with finance and accounting.
Polish previously served as executive director of financial reporting and compliance at Cox Communications, the company’s broadband telecommunications subsidiary. In this role, he led the company’s implementation of the Sarbanes Oxley Act and worked on Cox’s transition from a public to private company.
Prior to joining Cox in 2003, he held financial and accounting positions at LNR Property Corporation, Ryder System, The Coca-Cola Company and Deloitte & Touche.
He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Polish serves on the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta’s finance committee and is chairman of the audit committee.
